NUTRITION

"Let food be thy medicine and let medicine be thy food." ---Hippocrates
Nutrition is one of the pillars of naturopathic intervention. What we eat provides the basic building blocks required for every single function in our bodies. We can see that using inferior materials for any given project will result in a less than optimal end product. So it is with our food and our healthiest functioning - we are, indeed, what we eat! However, there is no "one size fits all" recommendation about nutrition. Individual food sensitivities, blood type, health problems, stress levels and preferences may each play a role in what is right for you.
In addition, nutrition is about much more than what we eat. It also includes how we eat, why we eat, when we eat, where we eat. Our relationship with food has a mental and emotional component, a social component, perhaps an ethical or environmental component. All aspects need to be considered to find the right nutritional plan for you.
